This series will be taught in english. Questions can be asked and answered in german.

Do you count yourself among the advanced dancers with in-depth solo jazz knowledge and an interest in delving deeper into the domain of improvisation?
Then you are at the right place 🤩!

In this course series we will look at various concepts that help us to dance more musically. This includes in particular figure variations, rhythm variations, as well as music-theoretical approaches. Another goal is to be able to dance well at higher speeds (>200 bpm).

You have a solid repertoire of figures that goes well beyond shim-sham figures. You are familiar with the concept of a phrase in the swing structure and breaks and they are important tools for improvisation. In addition, you have no problem hearing the 8 or the 1 in the music.

The communication regarding course organization takes place in German.

In dieser Kursserie werden wir diverse Konzepte anschauen, welche uns helfen, musikalischer zu tanzen. Dazu gehören insbesondere Figurenvariationen, Rhythmusvariationen, sowie musiktheoretische Ansätze. Ein Zielt ist auch, gut in höheren Tempi tanzen zu können (>200bpm).

Du verfügst über ein solides Figurenrepertoir, welches einiges über die Shim-Sham Figuren hinausgeht. Das Konzept einer Phrase in der Swing-Struktur sowie von Breaks ist dir bekannt und wichtige Tools für die Improvisation. Zudem hast du kein Problem, die 8 oder die 1 in der Musik zu hören.
